Banned, or just not accepted? Effect is the same but

there is a difference between getting singled out and banned vs. failing to be one of the exceedingly few western media properties that gets approved to run in China.

If you don't have something in your movie that paints China in a positive light (if not outright makes China the hero of the movie), you aren't getting into China.
